How to Set Up IPTV on a MAG Box
MAG boxes are purpose-built for IPTV and connect using the Stalker Portal — a different method from most other devices. Here's the full setup walkthrough.
MAG boxes are dedicated IPTV hardware that connect to a provider's server through a Stalker Portal — a different approach from the player-app method on Fire Stick or Android. Once you understand that, the setup is straightforward.
Have a MAG box ready to test?
Share your MAC address when you request a free trial and we'll get it set up for you.

- Your MAG box and remote
- The portal URL from your IPTV provider
- Your MAG box's MAC address (from Settings → System Info)
Send the MAC address to your provider when you subscribe — they need it to authorise your specific box.
Step 1: Connect to the internet
Plug an Ethernet cable from your router into the MAG box, or go to Settings → Network → Wi-Fi to connect wirelessly. A wired connection is strongly recommended for IPTV on MAG boxes — they're designed for it and perform noticeably better.
Step 2: Enter the portal URL
Go to Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals. Enter your provider's portal URL in Portal 1. The URL usually looks like http://yourdomain.com/portal.php — your provider will give you the exact address. Save and reboot the box.
Step 3: Load the portal
After rebooting, the MAG box connects to the portal server and loads the channel list directly. This may take a moment on first run. Once loaded, you'll see the main interface with Live TV, Movies, and Series categories.
Common issues and fixes
- "Portal not available" — re-check the portal URL for typos, and confirm the box's MAC address is registered with your provider.
- Channels won't load — try rebooting the box and your router. If that doesn't help, contact support with your MAC address.
- Buffering — switch to Ethernet if you're on Wi-Fi. MAG boxes aren't optimised for wireless.
